If you have a rental agreement only on your behalf, the fact that someone who lives with you does not affect your living conditions, since you are still allowed to live there until the end of the lease, as long as you regularly pay your rent and you respect all the other things you have already agreed with your landlord. You have this right, no matter who you rent or what type of lease you have. This is due to the fact that the legal agreement is for you to rent the property and no one else can influence this agreement. If the landlord only wanted to evict a tenant from the property, he would have to evacuate you all, as you are all part of the same rental agreement (although there are solutions for this, see below). The lease is a form of consumer contract and, as such, must be done in clear and understandable language. It must not contain clauses that could be “unfair.” This means, for example, that the lease does not put you or your landlord in an unfavourable position, should not allow a party to change the terms unilaterally and without good reason, or to bind you irrevocably to conditions with which you did not have time to administer yourself. An abusive clause is not valid by law and cannot be enforced. Depending on the number of you who have lived together in the house, this can be quite complicated. Even if you think that you all have the same rights and duties, and that may sound like that from the outside, that is not necessarily the case.

If a person who lives in the house dies, any differences in the type of agreement could be very important to you. Even if your name is not included in the rental agreement, you can still take responsibility for being a tenant. This means that you do not need to seek your spouse`s consent to do something that is normally related to the maintenance of the lease. For example, you are entitled to: if you are a separate tenant, you can leave your tenancy agreement by terminating it at the end of your temporary termination or by announcing the correct amount of notice if it is a periodic lease. The lease must be signed by all tenants and your landlord. If there are common tenants, each tenant should receive a copy of the agreement.
